My Bucket List

So, I borrowed this idea (of recording my bucket list on my blog, that is) from Backpacker Banter, one of the really inspirational blogs I keep returning to. Check it out!

Anyway. I love lists. I love packing lists, school supply lists, to-do lists (whether I do them or not is really not the point,) and any other kind of list I can. So, of course, I have sixty versions of my bucket list floating around from various stages of my life! With the inspiration of the before mentioned Backpacker Banter, here's my list, so far, of things I want to do before I die.




1. Go to the UK and Ireland Done, May-June 2012 England, Scotland and Ireland, (and Ireland again, 2014! and I will again in March 2015...I really love Ireland, can you tell?) 

2. See a play on Broadway Done, May 2012, Phantom of the Opera, New York,  (okay, so this was also part of the May-June 2012 trip, but I felt it deserved recognition), next is a show in London!

3. Explore Washington D.C.

4. Eat Chinese food in San Francisco Done, March 2014

5. Go on an African safari

6. Travel with my friend Aimee Done! Seattle, 2014

8. Go scuba diving in Thailand

9. Surf San Diego

10. Skydive

11. Cycle the east coast of Ireland

12. Cruise around Croatia

13. Work Away somewhere (Work Away, check it out!)

14. Get a tattoo (the only criteria is that it have some manner of meaning so I don't kick myself 3 weeks later):Done, October 31st, 2013 @ Lost Art in Ogden!

15. Go on a cruise (sort of covered by #12, but sort of not)

16. Party in Ibiza

17. Spend 1 month+ travelling by Eurail. (Eurail: Experience Europe With A Eurail Pass, pretty exciting stuff there)

18. Learn to surf Done, June 2013 Long Beach, Washington

I'm about to biff it, but I DID stand up!

19. Scooter around Rome (or, you know, walking is fine, too, it's mostly just Rome that counts)

20. Learn a foreign language Done-ish (Passable Spanish, but could always improve!)

21. Learn to cook a traditional dish while in that country Done, Irish fry 2014 (but more to come, i'm sure!)

22. Take a spontaneous trip  

23. Couchsurf with friends I met while travelling (New Zealand and England, I'll be there!) 

24. Snorkel in Australia

25. Go to Hawaii Done, April 2013 O'ahu, May 2014

26. Go to an NFL game

27. Live abroad for a while (it's quite possibly in the works!)

28. Hike in Colorado

29. Speak Spanish in Spain

30. Attend a "football" match abroad

31. Check out Costa Rica

32. Go to a Ceilidh 

33. Drink tea and read a book at St. James Park

34. Get a travel photograph published somewhere

35. Take a picture of the white-washed buildings in Greece

36. Spend New Year's Eve in Scotland

37. Travel with my mom. Done, April 2013, O'ahu, again July 2013, Las Vegas.

38. Travel solo 

39. Travel with my brother Done, June 2013, Washington road trip

44. Go on a gondola in Venice

46. Go whale-watching.

47. Go kayaking Done! Bundoran, Ireland, 2014!

49. See Niagara Falls (ooh, had the chance whilst in Toronto, but didn't make it out...next time!)

51. Publish something I wrote

52. Spend time in Nova Scotia

I'll keep updating this as I run into more things that I want to do, and, especially, as I check more things off!
